Welcome to the Gorbals very own “city of the dead” the final resting place of approximately 250,000 contributors to the rich historical legacy of the Gorbals and Glasgow.
The cemetery was also the location for the legendary Gorbals Vampire incident of 1954, and is the home of the famous White Lady monument. Walk round her three times, or she might turn your body to stone.
Tours of the Southern Necropolis can be arranged to suit your own specific date and time, and we can also cater for school groups, and visits from organisations.
