DAMAGE TO GRANITE CHAIR
On a more sadder note, I am sorry to have to report that the existing granite chair next to the Franciscan Circle was recently vandalised through someone breaking the back of the chair clean off the base section.
It is obviously done by someone with no respect for the many unique individuals who are buried within the Southern Necropolis.
Pity some of the residents couldn't pay them a wee “spiritual” visit through the night and perhaps make them feel sorry for what they did.

SN TOURS FOR 2012
Really enjoyed meeting up with everyone who came along to
the Southern Necropolis in 2012.
The Doors Open weekend tours were well attended and congratulations to the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust for once again organising such an important event for the city of Glasgow.
Looking forward to taking part again in 2013.
Some of my friends from Deaf Connections came along for a tour and we managed a meander around the cemetery and introduced them all to the White Lady.
